If your condition requires surgery, your doctor or doctor’s assistant will explain to you what to expect during your procedure. Most surgical and diagnostic procedures are done on an outpatient basis, allowing patients to go home the same day of the procedure.

Generally, eye surgeries require no hospitalization. However, overnight accommodations are available to patients who need or prefer to stay the day before or after surgery, or for patients requiring a longer stay.

Your surgery may be performed at either Baptist Hospital or the Tennessee Valley Eye Center. You are encouraged to call our office if you have additional questions.
