Education and Training
For his B.A., Mark Y. Ivens, M.D. attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville(1975) where he received Highest Honors and was named Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his M.D. at the University of Tennessee in Memphis(1978). Following medical school, he completed his internship in Knoxville at the University of Tennessee Hospital(1979) before returning to Memphis to complete his residency at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences from 1980-1983.
Hobbies & Interests
In his free time, Dr. Ivens enjoys golfing, skiing, basketball, and racquetball.
He has been with Baptist Eye Surgeons since 1983. Dr. Ivens, M.D. was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in May of 1985 and is a member of American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Mark Y. Ivens, M.D., currently specializes in Cataract Surgery and General Ophthalmology.
