Education and Training

Dr. Brittany N. Cook, M.D. graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, TN where she received her M.D. in 2011. She went on to complete her residency in preliminary internal medicine at Birmingham Baptist Health System (2011-2012) and in ophthalmology at Nassau University Medical Center in New York (2013-2016). Dr. Cook then completed a fellowship in refractive cataract and refractive surgery at the Eye Institute of West Florida (2016-2017).

In her free time, Dr. Cook volunteers by helping disadvantaged youth and providing medical care to the under-served inner city population. She also participates in music performances, including piano, flute, piccolo, and voice ensemble. Dr. Cook also enjoys SCUBA diving and is advanced open water certified.
