Education and Training

Dr. Janis L. Holt attended Hendrix College where she received her B. A. in Humanities/Art History (1986). She received her Doctor of Medicine in 2001 from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. She completed her transitional internship at Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis and her ophthalmology residency at University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL. From June,  2005, to June, 2006, she completed a Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.

Background

Dr. Holt is a Member of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is licensed in Missouri, Florida and Tennessee. She is a member of the Washington University Alumni Association.

She currently specializes in Cataract Surgery and Cornea Disease and Transplant.

Hobbies

In her free time, Dr. Holt enjoys volunteering with VIST (Visually Impaired Service Group) and the Cumberland County Lion’s Club in Crossville, TN, and the Fairfield Glade Rotary in Fairfield Glade, TN.
